I oversee every aspect of people’s affairs. I have a corporate accounting and finance background and I have been in business for myself for 30 years. I am a tax professional, a fee-based financial adviser and an insurance agent. I believe that it is critical that an adviser have the experience to see how all of these pieces fit together.
I am independent on purpose. You don’t see the Merrill Lynch or Edward D Jones or anyone else’s name on the door. What that means is that I don’t have quotas or a boss or a home office that I have to please. I am actually in a position where I can act in the best interest of my clients. If you are not independent, you cannot make that claim. If they are working for someone else, they are not working for you
I want to stay small. I want to know who my clients are. I want my clients to be important to me
Every individual is different. A plan that is right for you, might not be right for someone else – and vice versa. What we will do is we will set goals; we’ll make a plan; we’ll monitor our progress and we’ll get where we’re going
You can’t know what I know after one meeting. You can’t know what I know after one year. Yet over time, you can improve your understanding. I believe it is critical for clients to know what they have and why they have it – and we’ll get there.
